For as long as I can remember, I have written songs. A very early effort won a song competition. In my younger days, these were just for me – to express myself in the privacy of my room. Which was just as well, as they were mostly angst-ridden songs about unrequited love. (Well, except for a few angry punk anthems I wrote for a concept band Keith Cancer & the Virus. Little did I know that both cancer and virus were to be major aspects of my life – but that’s another story.) As a child I sang in choirs and often took solos, but then, in my teens my voice never properly broke and I gave up singing in public.
In recent years I was encouraged to sing and play guitar seriously again. I found my voice had settled and had a decent range. Then I was diagnosed with throat cancer and I thought that my newly found passion for singing would be snuffed out. But after I emerged from treatment, my voice was as strong as ever, and had even extended lower in range.
Keith Errington – singer songwriter
I write songs as Keith Errington, and perform then with my 12-string, often accompanied by my partner Nimue Brown on electric violin and vocals. My songs cover a variety of subjects, serious and funny, with generally a folk feel. I have played at many events including steampunk events, fairy events and a goblin ball.

Here’s a couple of rough videos from our appearance on Radio Winchcombe.
Jessica Law & The Outlaws – four piece indie band
I play rhythm guitar for the wonderful Jessica Law, who writes quirky songs and has a unique sound. The full line up is Jessica Law on vocals, songwriting and mandolin, James (Bryn’s son) on backing vocals and percussion, Bryn on Viola and backing vocals, and me on my 12-string. Jessica has a number of albums available, a growing fanbase and is known for an indie sound – with a strong, quirky singing voice and interesting lyrics set to music in an original style. She was formerly in The Mechanisms (as the Toy Soldier) and was the Creepy Doll Lady in the cult horror podcast, The Magnus Archives.
I serve as the manager, roadie, techie, sound engineer, transport and “father” to the band – so please contact me if you’d like to book us.
Carnival of Cryptids – feral folk choir

I am part of this choir which sings unusual folk songs, occasional covers, and has a different repertoire depending on the time of year or event. It’s an informal group that was formed around a core of three members to allow people with committent issues, whether that be work, health or anything else, to join us and sing. There are up to around 18 of us, but for events we are usually smaller. We love quirky events, such as Halloween. We sing mainly at community events around Gloucestershire – get in touch if you would like us to sing at your event. We play for free or for donations.
